Hey everybody, here’s some more! #4 is a pretty lighthearted ditty about the joys of coffee. #5 is an imagist poem about a bridge. #6 is called a cinquain, which has 5 lines. The first line has 2 syllables, then 4, then 6, then 8, finally two again.
Thirty separate blog posts of poems might get to be a little much, so I’m combining a few days and updating you all at intervals. I’d love to know which of these upcoming poems you like! It would inspire me to make some revisions and really get them polished. In the spirit of NaNoWriMo, all these poems are minimally planned first drafts 🙂
Mild spoilers. I give away nothing that is plot-central, however.
Yes, sometimes I wax poetic. This happens to be something I’d written in about five minutes several years ago on a small pad of paper. One of our cats or curious children must have uncovered it, and I took much of today tweaking and reworking it. I hope you enjoy!
Sorry 2:30! It’s not that bad 😉
